All necessary infrastructure to support a farm of this size and nature, as a livestock, irrigation, and game farming operation, is in place. The farm is sub-divided into various inner camps with a couple of smaller camps closer to the homestead.

This farming enterprise offers a diverse typographical layout of undulating hills, plateaus, valleys, and flat land. Dry riverbeds transverse through the farm with some of the rivers flowing strongly after normal rainfall in the mountains. This supports the diversity of vegetation with patches of grass, shrubs, bushes with denser riverine thicket and tall trees along the banks of the dry rivers. Due to this balanced habitat system, there is a perfect balance in terms of a diversity of naturally available food for both browsers and grazers. Kudu heaven!

There is a rich ecosystem where game species roam free on about 3,000-hectare while one can enjoy the prolific natural scenes in this untamed wilderness. Feel at one with the serene surroundings. Here tranquillity soothes the soul.

Driving or hiking through this exclusive game section offers an exceptional safari experience. Exciting game drives in an open vehicle allow unobstructed views of the plains game. Game thrives here and game breeding exceeds all expectations in this disease-free area.

In addition to the plains game, this game farm has an exceptional nocturnal life, the sounds of which add to the peaceful atmosphere.

At present the game species include Mountain Zebra, Oryx, Wildebeest, Kudu, Springbok and indigenous small antelope such as Steenbok which roam the area. It is to be noted that only the strongest and most adaptable game have survived the severe drought of the past few years.

About 30-hectare is used for the production of quality lucerne and another 10-hectare as grazing or fodder for sheep. Water usage rights are in place. All the irrigation areas are fenced in with 2,4-metre-high fencing. Water is obtained from boreholes or by a canal from the Gamkapoort dam. The Gamka river traverses the farm and the riverbanks have matured thorn trees and thicket which contribute to the beauty and ambience of the farm. These trees and riverbed floodplain increase the carrying capacity of the farm, as well as the variety of game species, especially those which utilize the leaves and pips of the trees.

The topography comprises of a good mixed sweet veldt, and the landscape varies from mountains, rolling hills, plateau`s, wide savannah grass valleys to riverine trees on the banks of the dry rivers.

Both summer and winter rainfall occur in this area. The long-term average is approximately 150 - 200mm per annum. The long-term grazing capacity is 1:39 LSU or 6.5-hectare per small stock unit. The current owner farms with 1,000 Dorper ewes.

The farm is duly jackal-proof fenced and the 3,000-game section is 1.8m high game fenced.
